Update - The Rosewater Loop meeting on Saturday 18 January was a great success, with 70 community members attending. Thanks so much to everyone who participated.


Here's our first issue of In the Loop with a summary of ideas shared at our first community Loop meeting.


Approximately 150 people attended the Rosewater Loop community update on 15 February 2025 at the Rosewater Bowling Club. Preliminary plans for greening the Loop were presented. They can be viewed here.

Cleaning the Loop

10am - 11.30am Saturday 1 March 

North east corner of Evans Street and Marine Terrace.

Update! We welcomed 25 community members to the site and our volunteers collected 13 bags as well as piles of hard rubbish.

Thanks to everyone who took part - the area looked so much better after the clean up. Keep an eye out for GRL news for future clean ups.

Cleaning up the Loop 21 June 2025

On Saturday 21 June 30 community members held a cleaning and weeding blitz along the Rosewater Loop, between Newcastle Street and Eastbourne Terrace. Rubbish, rubble and weeds were cleared before we enjoyed a home made morning tea.

Planting the Loop - Thanks to the more than 40 local community members who turned up on Saturday 28 June to help with planting the Loop. Over 1000 plants went in along the Hardy Street section.

Planting the Loop - Saturday 26 July - many thanks to the 35 community members who came out on a chilly morning to plant the next section of the Loop near Newcastle st.

More than 20 community members helped to mulch, tidy up and add to the plantings. Thanks to all who helped.

Update on our first Loop Walk -14 community members along with 4 canine friends joined the Loop walk on 11 September.

Access to the Loop is currently restricted while work takes place on the path.


Sincere thanks to all the community members who having been helping to weed and mulch the plantings over the past few months. We have a group of volunteers who will be helping to water over the summer.
